History

King's Baptist Grammar School

King’s Baptist Grammar School began in February 1983 as Tea Tree Gully Christian School, set up after months of planning by members of the Tea Tree Gully Baptist Church. It started with 38 primary students and grew quickly, reaching 85 students in relocatable classrooms by 1985, and the board then sought land in the new Golden Grove development for a school from Reception to Year 12.

Tyndale Christian School

Tyndale Christian School opened in 1983 as Para Community Christian School, started by Christian parents who wanted their children taught in a setting that supported their family’s faith. It began with 137 students from Reception to Year 7 and ten staff; while its land was bought and transportable classrooms were ordered, the first classes met in an old house on the property of Salisbury Baptist Church.
