Our story
Temple Christian College was planned in the 1970s by a committee chaired by Pastor David Rodway, and opened in 1983 as Temple College at Tabor Bible College in Unley Park, with 35 Year 8 students and Bruce Robson, formerly deputy headmaster of Pulteney Grammar, as headmaster. A year later it bought the Thomas Hardy building at Mile End and moved there, and in 1994 it took the name Temple Christian College.
A second campus opened at Paralowie in 2001, next to Bethany Christian School, and the college became a Year 7 to 12 school. A music centre followed at Mile End in 2005–06 and a student learning hub in the Thomas Hardy building in 2017, and in 2019 a middle school opened at Marion with Sunrise Christian School. Today Temple is one co-educational Christian college on several sites, part of Adelaide Christian Schools; it celebrated 40 years in 2023.
