Our story
Fullarton is where Sunrise Christian School began. Adelaide Christian Centre’s senior pastor, Leo Harris, proposed a Christ-centred school, the church elders endorsed it, and a steering committee formed in 1977. The school opened at Fullarton in 1978 for Prep to Grade 8, running on very little money with second-hand furniture and books and a great deal of parent goodwill.
The school grew slowly over the following years. Sunrise now has six campuses, including two in regional South Australia, and is governed by Adelaide Christian Schools, which also runs Temple Christian College. Fullarton is a co-educational Christian primary school.
