Our story
Nazareth Catholic College was formed in 2006, when four Catholic schools in Adelaide’s western suburbs merged: Siena College, Our Lady of the Manger School, Cardinia Catholic School and Mater Christi School. Under its first director, Michael Dahl, it opened in 2007 for Reception to Year 12 at Findon. The Flinders Park campus opened for Years 8 to 12 in 2008, and the first co-educational Year 12 class graduated in 2011. The motto ‘In Joyful Hope’, from the Eucharistic Prayer, was first chosen by the founding religious orders of Siena College.
The college has kept growing. Year 7 moved to Flinders Park in 2019 with the new Caritas Building; the St Gabriel Centre at Underdale was bought in 2020 as an adult-style setting for senior students; and a senior campus for Years 11 and 12 opened at Kidman Park in 2023. Nazareth now serves more than 2,000 families from early childhood to Year 12, and a purpose-built Year 10 campus in Kidman Park is planned for 2028.
